The 2007 Kia Rondo is a compact family wagon and crossover that was introduced as an all-new model to the U.S. market for the 2007 model year. Built on the unibody platform of the Kia Optima sedan, it was uniquely designed to bridge the gap between a hatchback, a station wagon, and a minivan. Automotive reviewers often described it as an incredibly practical, budget-friendly alternative to bulky SUVs.

The Rondo featured a tight, easy-to-park 179-inch overall length—making it slightly shorter than a Mazda 5—yet boasted high headroom and a massive 74.4 cubic feet of maximum cargo space with all rear seats folded flat.

Offered as an LX or EX, The higher-tier EX trim upgraded the exterior with fog lights, chrome accents, and roof rails, while the interior added a leather-wrapped steering wheel and upgraded upholstery. Standard safety features across the board were generous for 2007, packing six airbags, anti-lock disc brakes, and electronic stability control.

Power is delivered by a 2.7-liter V6 engine producing 182 horsepower and 182 lb-ft of torque, and routed to the front wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode.
