The 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche is a unique, half-ton crew-cab pickup based on GM's GMT900 platform that blends the comfort of an SUV with the utility of a pickup truck. Featuring a segment-exclusive "Midgate," it can fold down the rear wall and seats to expand the 5.3-foot bed into an 8-foot cargo area, while the bed features a secure, three-piece interlocking hard tonneau cover and lockable & drainable side storage compartments. 

As the luxury flagship, the LTZ trim comes standard with 20-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated and cooled front seats, the Autoride adaptive suspension, a Bose premium audio system, navigation, and a backup camera. 

Every 2011 Avalanche is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 engine producing 320 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation) helps it achieve an EPA-estimated 15/21 MPG city/highway.
