The 2009 Kia Rondo LX is a compact crossover wagon introduced to the U.S. market for the 2007 model year. Known as the Kia Carens in other markets, the Rondo combines the passenger accommodations of a minivan with the dimensions and driving characteristics of a compact car. Its tall roofline, upright seating position, and versatile rear cargo area provide a practical interior layout, while its unibody construction and fully independent suspension distinguish it from traditional body-on-frame SUVs.

Power is supplied by a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine producing 175 horsepower and 169 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels. The Rondo features independent front and rear suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and anti-lock braking. Standard safety equipment also includes electronic stability control, traction control, front-seat side-impact airbags, and side curtain airbags.

This example features an upgraded 7-inch double-DIN touchscreen audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, a rearview camera, USB and microSD/TF card inputs, an auxiliary audio jack, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Additional equipment includes keyless entry, cruise control, and automatic headlights.
